Dreamcloud: Accelerating Digital Transformation with Holistic Low-Code Solutions

Over the past 8 years, Dreamcloud has been leveraging these technologies to help companies accelerate their digital transformation through the delivery of robust, scalable customer-centric, and employee-centric solutions. The boutique system integration (SI) and digital consultancy firm has an impressive track record of providing its clients with end-to-end solutions, ranging from platform provisioning, turnkey projects, training, and other services in low-code technology.
As Dreamcloud’s capabilities mature alongside the growth of low-code technology, it has become clear to them that in order for enterprises to maximise value derived from low-code platform investments, it would be inadequate to focus only on application development. This has resulted in a concerted effort to upskill their team to develop a low-code centre of excellence that is able to provide advisory on broader areas such as architecture, best practices, governance, user experience, and module reuse.
In 2021, a global healthcare MNC approached Dreamcloud to kickstart their enterprise low-code journey and re-platform more than 100 applications from an aging legacy platform to OutSystems. The proposed solution was a low-code digital factory, which provided a systematic, structured way for Dreamcloud’s multi-disciplinary teams to move apps through and re-platform apps at speed and with quality. The project was completed in just 12 months, and the applications continue to enjoy the agility that low-code offers.
“Many of our customers who are adopting low-code for the first time understandably focus on engaging software engineers to deliver their projects, but the needs of digital projects have evolved beyond that,” shares Wong Seok Ling, who leads Dreamcloud’s business development efforts. “Successful implementations are backed by teams with the right blend of expertise to deliver a holistic and forward-looking solution.”
Dreamcloud was also one of the first to implement a consumer mobile application on low-code, helping one of the fastest growing telcos in Singapore launch their service and working closely with them to continuously deliver new digital services to engage their customers. Implemented in the right way, low-code can be applied to a variety of use cases, and not just basic lightweight forms.
The low-code industry is expected to grow to be worth $187 billion by 2030, and as low-code platforms continue to gain immense traction, Dreamcloud is not letting up and is continuing to grow its capabilities and geographical footprint.
“Because low-code sits in the custom software space, almost every enterprise out there is going to need it. The ongoing pandemic has accelerated demand for our services because transformation becomes more urgent due to shifting consumer and employee needs,” says Daniel Lim, who is the Managing Director. “The key for us is to provide value at every step of the customer’s transformation journey, not just at the stage where a technical implementation needs to be done. This will allow us to differentiate ourselves from other service providers and play an increasingly important role in our customers’ digital transformation journey.”
